:: weekend moments ::

It's been a great weekend here that seems to have flown by! Maybe something to do with the strong winds... We went to our friend's wedding yesterday and enjoyed celebrating with them and catching up with friends. It was a beautifully warm day - true to the weather forecasts it really did go from snow-machines clearing the roads here on Tuesday to a sunny, warm, high-20s Saturday. It was quite a shock to the system, but gratefully so. We're ready for the warm weather to show up around here for a good length of time now :o)

For the first time ever we were without the girls for the evening and the night. They went home with their grandparents and had a wonderful time. No tears, even giggling as they went down to sleep! The messages passed back and forth during the evening reassured us (or just me!) and we were able to relax and enjoy the evening of the wedding reception. When we went to join the girls and family (including visiting cousins from France) for breakfast this morning the girls weren't even in a rush to greet us :o)
