I started the day with a delicious breakfast of a pain au chocolat, croissant, and a patisserie. One thing I love about living here is the close proximity of bakeries that make the yummiest things! I also started the day with long hair, which had been starting to bother me (I'm not the most regular client at the hairdressers'!) and within a couple of hours had had an appointment made, and had it washed (my favourite part!) then cut off...well half of it..
The rest of the day passed by in a blur. Eti had taken the day off work to help me take the girls to Lausanne for their 18-month (adjusted age) development check back at the hospital. That went well, the girls were able to match most shapes, colours and pictures, despite being overtired by that stage. My highlight was paying a brief visit up at Neonatal after the appointment to see some of the girls' nurses. I love seeing them and giving them the chance to see how much the girls have grown since they took such great care of them. We saw a few that we hadn't seen since we were there almost 2 years ago.
Here are some glimpses of our day...I didn't get many of the actual daytime, just the morning and evening...and a few extras :)
Mon amour :) The kindest, most generous one I know...though he did remind me it's only 10 years until you're 40. Thanks.
And it's shorter!
Some of my very favourite flowers :)
The taking of this photo above involved about 10 minutes of clearing away first...just in case you think it always looks like this (maybe one a month?!).
And the next photos are from today. Nothing to do with Valentine's Day or my birthday, apart from the fact they're of the ones I love...
Today was a snow day, which was lovely and it also meant the temperatures have warmed up again. As in around 0 sorts of temperatures. Every couple of days lately we've had this sweet couple visiting the forest behind our house. They come down for a break in the sunshine, or to find things to eat. The girls and I were excited to spot them again this afternoon...
I think he heard the girls *yelling* from inside!
So there we go...a little bit of loving from our corner of the world. I hope you felt loved yesterday, and every day...

oh they are so cute - love those photos...gorgeous! Were they born early as they were twins?
Hi Lisa! They came at 26 weeks because of an infection...as far as I know! They just started coming and there was no stopping them :)
Loving the hair cut!! Suits you and wow, those deer! Extraordinary!
Thanks :) Yes, I peer out the window several times a day hoping to catch another glimpse of them. So far I haven't spotted their return!
